Simon Thompson

What's somethingSimon Thompson is a Los Angeles-based producer with over two decades of experience in the industry. After cementing his career in the UK as a broadcast journalist and producer, he relocated from London to Los Angeles in 2015. Simon has developed and produced short and long-form programming for some of the industry's most prominent entertainment brands, networks, and studios domestically and internationally. He has developed a string of successful programming for NBCUniversal and the Oscar-nominated ITN Productions, among others, as well as the likes of Netflix, Dolby, Warner Bros., and Sony Pictures.

His work, in both the US and UK, has earned him voting membership of both the Television Academy and BAFTA, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Combining his experience in production and journalism, Simon also covers TV, film, and the crafts involved in creating them for a number of the trades and other top-tier publications. Simon also regularly moderates FYC Q&As with some of the industry's top talent, both above and below the line.
 
As well as working with Luke and others, Simon is currently developing his first feature documentary and first feature film. Simon lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their dog, Scruff (as well as fostering other rescue dogs)
